Over the last several months, the market has shifted slightly as it relates to price decreases, enough so that in another month or two, we can call it a trend. During the last two years, the Flagstaff real estate market rarely saw a price drop and, in fact, had price increases and bidding wars on many properties listed. The multiple-offer scenario has not evaporated, but now more than ever, the condition of the home as well as a strong listing price based on comparables in the neighborhood are … [Read more...] about The Path Toward Normalcy
Heel Pain is on the Rise
More than two million Americans suffer from plantar fasciitis, a sharp, stabbing, sometimes burning pain in the heel or arch of the foot. It’s anticipated this number will rise as the weather warms up and people become more active. “Most heel pain happens when there is irritation or inflammation of the fascia. That’s the tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes. When it’s inflamed, it hurts,” explained Dr. Diana Perry of CIC Foot & Ankle in Flagstaff. “Patients tell me it’s worse … [Read more...] about Heel Pain is on the Rise
Arizona Military Dog Trainer Continues Tradition
Animals have played a significant role in military campaigns for thousands of years. Horses and dogs, in particular, have marched across continents with their masters and handlers as support and, at times, as fellow warriors. Ancient authors such as Pliny the Elder have written about a number of breeds used by the Roman Army during the empire’s expansion and the various roles the animals played. Among the favorites for sheer strength and size were the Cane Corso and the Molossian, a likely … [Read more...] about Arizona Military Dog Trainer Continues Tradition
What is EDC?
In this increasingly unsafe world, we as individuals need to adjust our behaviors to better ensure the safety of ourselves and our loved ones. We first need to be “situationally aware” of our surroundings, actively observing what is going on around us and looking for possible threats. Threats can be very obvious, as a traditional bank robber would be, or they could be something much more subtle, like a van parked next to your car when there are only two cars in the entire parking lot. Avoiding … [Read more...] about What is EDC?
Taking Action to Protect Flagstaff
There is a lot going on these days. Wildfire season has started early and my heart goes out to those who have been afflicted by the Tunnel Fire. Thirty homes were lost. Despite the tragedy, I saw our community come together to help those in need, providing homes for evacuees, giving food and clothing, and sheltering animals. I want to thank our brave firefighters and all our first responders who helped our surrounding community in the midst of such a crisis. Council recently held our budget … [Read more...] about Taking Action to Protect Flagstaff

Moonshot Expanding Reach, Offerings
As always, let me start by thanking the City of Flagstaff, our local sponsors and our entrepreneur community for partnering with Moonshot and the campus of NACET over the past 22 years. Your commitment to bettering the lives of Northern Arizonans is greatly appreciated and we are humbled by your continued support. Judging by the start-up founders in our program to date, and the fact that more than 80% of the office and manufacturing space at the NACET campus is filled, I’d say Flagstaff and … [Read more...] about Moonshot Expanding Reach, Offerings
