County Responds to First Snowstorm of the Season
The Coconino County Public Works Department deployed plow trucks early this morning following the season’s first measurable snowfall. All roads are currently open and passable and no accidents have been reported. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the cold and windy storm system has already produced one to three inches of snow around the region. A prehistoric Sinaguan pueblo on Babbitt Ranches is being documented with three-dimensional imaging technology and stabilized to preserve its standing walls.
