Today, in a landmark decision, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) voted to use revenues from the sale of sulfur dioxide allowances from the shut-down Mohave Generating Station (Mohave) to create a revolving fund to pay development deposits for renewable projects that benefit the Hopi Tribe and Navajo Nation. Arizona Snowbowl Receiving Fresh Snow
With the February snowstorm now moving out of the region, Arizona Snowbowl near Flagstaff has reported at least 36 inches of new snow. One foot of new snow fell within the past 24 hours. All lifts at the Flagstaff area ski resort are operational. Roads to the ski resort are snow packed; four wheel drive vehicles or chains are suggested for travel.
