Flagstaff voters have approved Measures 405 and 406. The former opens the door for thinning of the forests around Flagstaff to reduce the likelihood of catastrophic wildfire and subsequent flooding. 406 will allow for bonding to build a facilities maintenance yard in West Flagstaff. HS Cheerleaders Donate to North Country
The Well Woman HealthCheck Program, housed at North Country HealthCare, was presented with a $3,500.00 donation during a Flagstaff High School Student Council meeting. The donation came from a collaborative fundraising effort by Flagstaff High School and Coconino High School students. The goal behind their fundraising was to bring the community together as well as the two schools while fundraising to fight breast cancer. Downtown Traffic Delays Until Nov. 21
San Francisco Street, at Phoenix Avenue, will be closed for maintenance work beginning Sunday, November 4, 2012. The closure is expected to last until Wednesday, November 21st. Flagstaff Area National Monuments will be joining national park units around the country in celebrating Veterans Day in honor of U.S. veterans and current members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
