Dan Akee, one of the last Navajo Code Talkers, wants to go home for Christmas. The house that he built in the 1960s has been vacant and uninhabitable for years. The sights and sounds of a helicopter flying around Flagstaff’s Mount Elden have been a frequent occurrence for the last month. After two years, the “Sound of Flight” mural on the east side of the Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff is complete. Sky Black and Mural Mice artists R.E.
