Suicide occurs across and within all socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural society. Suicide continues to be a leading cause of death in the U.S. and in Coconino County. In 2015 alone, Arizona averaged 17.2 suicide deaths per 100,000 people; Coconino County’s rate was 23.4 suicide deaths per 100,000 people; Navajo County was at 28.3 suicide deaths per 100,000 people.
