Flagstaff had been requesting new air service and destinations, and it happened. In March, United Airlines came to Flagstaff and introduced daily non-stop service to Denver and beyond. Then in April, American Airlines added daily non-stop service to Dallas. American is again testing the market with Saturday-only service to Los Angeles International Airport that began in August and will run through this fall. Starting the Year With Renewed Vision
We are starting the academic year at Coconino Community College with grateful hearts and with excitement for so many reasons. On that list are a few developments I’d like to share. First, a bittersweet moment as we bid farewell to longtime CCC employee, supporter and District Governing Board member Lloyd Hammonds, and enthusiastically welcome Joey Smith, who will be stepping into Lloyd’s DGB seat for District 5. Joey, a member of the Yavapai-Apache Nation in Camp Verde, was born in Flagstaff … [Read more...] about Starting the Year With Renewed Vision

It coordinates – without us even knowing it is happening – our breathing, heartbeat, organ function, blood circulation, digestion and more. Unfortunately, traumatic brain injury is a major cause of death and disability in the United States. … [Read more...] about Recognizing, Treating Brain Injuries

Warner’s Nursery Participating in the Community
Next year, Warner’s Nursery celebrates a pretty big milestone. Our company will have been in business for half a century. Started by my grandmother, Dottie, Warner’s began in 1970 in Page. Having Responsibilities Furthers the Addiction Recovery Process
In his book, “Boys Adrift,” Dr. Leonard Sax explains that men need to be responsible because if men are not needed, they do not flourish. Furthermore, according to organizational psychologist Benjamin P. Hardy, men actually step down if they are not needed. For example, when expectations are low, you will find young men demonstrating behaviors like remaining in their parents’ homes longer, delaying steps into adulthood and failing to thrive overall.
