Flagstaff Residents Winners at Boston Marathon
Two Flagstaff residents placed in the top 10 at the Boston Marathon this year. Nick Arciniaga, 30, came in seventh with a time of 2:11:47, as did Shalane Flanagan, 32, in the women’s race with a time of 2:22:02. Meb Keflezighi, an American, won the race with a time of 2:08:37. Officials Investigating Suspicious Fires
Tuesday, the Flagstaff Fire Department (FFD) responded to the area of N. Turquoise Dr. and Switzer Canyon for a report of a small fire in the front yard of a residence. Upon arrival, crews found at least 4 separate fires that had been started in the front yards of two residences on N Switzer Canyon Dr. There were witnesses on scene who had extinguished the fires prior to the arrival of the fire department.
