County Seeking Input on Zoning Changes
The Coconino County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing Sept. 17 to gather feedback from residents on proposed amendments to the County's zoning ordinances. The amendments that the Board will consider include multiple less-substantive changes and updates to the County's zoning ordinances that clarify, update and renumber specific sections. Flagstaff Getting $2 Million-NAU $250,000
U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, D-Ariz., is pleased to announce two major grants for District One: a $2 million transportation grant for the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, and a nearly $250,000 science grant for Northern Arizona University. The Flagstaff Pulliam Airport will receive a $2 million U.S. Department of Transportation grant for rehabilitation of the T-hangar taxilanes, which is needed to maintain structural integrity of the pavement. Flash floods are possible throughout the region because of heavy rainfall through Wednesday. The Arizona Department of Transportation plans to monitor roads which could flood. Flagstaff Family Food Center and Northern Arizona Food Bank, two non-profit agencies, have merged and will now operate under one umbrella and one name.
