Northern Arizona University’s Logging Sports Team is reminding the country what being a lumberjack is all about. Travel Restrictions on Coconino Forest Beginning Soon
On May 1, the Coconino National Forest will implement the Travel Management Rule, which is mandated across all national forests and prohibits motor vehicle use off designated routes and roads. Local Groups Alleviating Unemployment Concerns
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics recently released its unemployment figures for the nation for the month of February. The January numbers showed 8.3 percent of Americans were out of work. The State of Arizona’s most recent figures are from December, and show 8.7 percent of our residents are unemployed. Coconino County’s rate was 8.5 percent, while Maricopa’s was at 7.7 percent, and Pima County was at 7.9 percent during that same month. Updated state statistics are due out in mid-March. The Nidaros Cathedral Boys Choir will be performing in Flagstaff Saturday, March 31st. The performance is part of the Easter Concert Tour and will begin at 4:00 at the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church. There are no tickets for sale, the event is a free will offering.
