Council Approving Funds for Roads

The Flagstaff City Council awarded a local contractor a $3.2 million contract to begin repaving several Flagstaff streets this spring.  This represents nearly a 3 fold increase from the previous years street maintenance budget.

“The increase in funding is a result of last years detailed budget process that led to millions in reallocations. I’m encouraging Council to re-prioritize our budget this year as well”. Stated Councilman Oravits

Country Club Dr.

U. S. Hwy. 89

Soliere Ave.

Roads to be resurfaced include;

Forest Ave.

Cedar Ave.

Lone Tree Rd.

Switzer Canyon Dr.

Forest Ave.

Cedar Ave.

Council may ask the voters to increase the City sales tax later this year in order to raise up to $50 million for repairs to Flagstaff’s streets.
