Aug. 17. 8:00 a.m. The Annual Elk Viewing Workshop hosted by Game and Fish and Mormon Lake Lodge is Saturday August 17th. Please call the Flagstaff Game and Fish office at (928)774-5045 before 3 p.m. on Aug. 16th to register.
Talks will be at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. followed by field trips to view elk in the lake bottom. Scopes will be provided for viewing but bring binoculars if you have them. Also, remember to dress appropriately for the weather that day and bring snacks and drinks if you need them. The talks will be held in the Kachina Room at Mormon Lake Lodge. The lodge is about 25 miles or so from Flagstaff, to get there take FH 3 or Lake Mary Road to the Mormon Lake Road Loop. Follow the loop around to the lodge, there will be a sign on the road to get you to the Kachina room and parking.
