A short in-formal ceremony will be held at Flagstaff City Hall starting at 0630 on September 11th 2012, near the flag-poles facing Humphreys & Route 66. This ceremony is conducted with moments of silence coinciding with the times the towers fell in New York that day.
This ceremony is conducted every year in remembrance of the 343 firefighters, 37 New York Port Authority officers, 23 NYPD police Officers and 8 Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics that perished following the attacks at the World Trade Center. Past representation has included Flagstaff Fire Department, Guardian Medical Transport, Flagstaff Police Department, Coconino County Sheriff’s Department, NAU Police Department, Summit Fire Department, US Forest Service, Highlands Fire Department.
