Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. (NASDAQ: SFM) will open its first store in Flagstaff at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28. Before the store officially opens to the public, two Flagstaff residents will compete for prizes during the Sprouts Sprint on Tuesday, August 27. Neighboring retailers and members of the media are invited to preview the new store from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, where they can enjoy complimentary food samples and in-store giveaways.
“The folks in Flagstaff appreciate and celebrate our mission to offer healthy living for less,” said Sprouts’ President and CEO, Doug Sanders. “We’re thrilled to serve families in this growing community.”
To celebrate the new 25,600-square-foot store, Sprouts will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, to which the public is invited to attend, tour the store and shop for their favorite grocery items. Additionally, guests will save even more on Sprouts’ already low prices with $1 deals throughout the store.
Sprouts customers who visit the new location at 1540 S. Riordan Ranch Rd., will enjoy a fresh produce department; a variety of nutritional supplements and natural and organic products; a full-service meat department featuring USDA Choice beef; a bakery; a full-service deli offering Boar’s Head brand meats and cheeses, as well as chef-prepared sushi and made-to-order sandwiches.
The store will provide many conveniences for busy, on-the-go shoppers, including a self-serve bulk foods department and grab-and-go deli meals.
A few special events are planned for grand opening day on Wednesday, August 28:
· Muffin and coffee samples will be served to everyone in line before the doors open.
· FREE grocery goodie bags will be given to the first 200 paying customers with wristbands.
· Upon checkout, every 15th shopper will receive a coupon booklet with more than $30 in Sprouts savings.
· Every customer will receive one free reusable bag with purchase.
