Paving work on the City’s annual street maintenance program is scheduled to begin today, May 30, 2012. Streets scheduled for re-paving include: East Old Route 66 from Country Club Drive to Mall Way, Butler Avenue from Continental Drive to Sky View Street, and Fourth Street from Cedar Avenue to Butler Avenue.
Pavement milling has already started. During the paving work, brief closures of side streets and driveways will be required to allow placement, compaction and cooling of the new asphalt. Every effort will be made to maintain traffic flow; however lane closures and associated delays can be expected. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when available.
