CCC Commencement

May 10.  5:00 p.m.    Coconino Community College is hosting its 2013 Commencement ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday, May 10 at its Lone Tree campus, 2800 S. Lone Tree Road.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the academic achievement celebrations of CCC's students.   More than 100 students will participate in the ceremony. CCC Establishing Veterans Scholarship

CCC2NAU Receiving $2.5 Million Federal Grant

The CCC2NAU program has received a $2.5 million federal grant for the development and expansion of innovative training programs. Coconino Community College's award-winning CCC2NAU transition program for students, in partnership with Northern Arizona University, will receive the money over a four-year period.

CCC Part of $1,000,000 Grant

The National Institutes of Health has awarded Coconino Community College, in partnership with Northern Arizona University and Diné College, a $1 million grant through the federal Bridges to Baccalaureate program. This is the first time CCC and NAU have partnered to work on a research-related grant. CCC Training Skilled Nurses

The U.S. Department of Labor is predicting that the employment rate for nurses is expected to grow 26 percent in the decade 2010-2020, faster than the average for all other occupations. It is no surprise that programs destined to train nurses are at a high demand. One such program at Coconino Community College is producing qualified and well-trained nurses to serve the needs of Flagstaff, the surrounding community and state. CCC President Honored at NAU Graduation

CCC Receives GED and Caregivers Grant

The Arizona Department of Education awarded Coconino Community College (CCC) an $80,000 federal grant to improve basic literacy skills, earn a GED, and obtain a Caregivers' Certificate. CCC is one of four colleges in the state to secure the two year Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (IBEST) grant.  At least 160 students are expected to benefit. Officials and community members helped kick off today's year long celebration of CCC, and its many roles in Northern Arizona.  A ceremony held on the Lone Tree campus today, celebrated the college's many accomplishments, and speakers talked about the future of the institution.
