Over the past few years, Coconino Community College professor Bryan Bates has had more and more military veterans show up as students in his classroom. CCC2NAU Receiving $2.5 Million Federal Grant
The CCC2NAU program has received a $2.5 million federal grant for the development and expansion of innovative training programs. CCC Part of $1,000,000 Grant
The National Institutes of Health has awarded Coconino Community College, in partnership with Northern Arizona University and Diné College, a $1 million grant through the federal Bridges to Baccalaureate program. This is the first time CCC and NAU have partnered to work on a research-related grant. The U.S. Department of Labor is predicting that the employment rate for nurses is expected to grow 26 percent in the decade 2010-2020, faster than the average for all other occupations. It is no surprise that programs destined to train nurses are at a high demand. CCC Receives GED and Caregivers Grant
The Arizona Department of Education awarded Coconino Community College (CCC) an $80,000 federal grant to improve basic literacy skills, earn a GED, and obtain a Caregivers' Certificate. CCC is one of four colleges in the state to secure the two year Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (IBEST) grant. At least 160 students are expected to benefit.
