Starting the Year With Renewed Vision
We are starting the academic year at Coconino Community College with grateful hearts and with excitement for so many reasons. On that list are a few developments I’d like to share. First, a bittersweet moment as we bid farewell to longtime CCC employee, supporter and District Governing Board member Lloyd Hammonds, and enthusiastically welcome Joey Smith, who will be stepping into Lloyd’s DGB seat for District 5. Joey, a member of the Yavapai-Apache Nation in Camp Verde, was born in Flagstaff … [Read more...] about Starting the Year With Renewed Vision
Critical Components to the CCC Mission: Partnering, Lifelong Learning
Although the Arizona Legislature showed a commitment to education by supporting public community colleges with one-time funding in the 2019-20 state budget, there is still work for us to do. The temporary nature of that limited funding emphasizes the importance of creating new and expanding partnerships with individual volunteer supporters we call “champions,” businesses, non-profits and government organizations in the communities that Coconino Community College serves. Here at CCC, we’ve been … [Read more...] about Critical Components to the CCC Mission: Partnering, Lifelong Learning
