Fundraiser Tomorrow for Invisible Children

 For 23 years, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) and the Government of Uganda have been locked in the longest-running war in Africa. This has left two million civilians in the crossfire—facing violence, losing their homes, and having their children kidnapped to serve as soldiers in the LRA. One of the great advantages of living in Northern Arizona is the chance to see all sorts of wildlife. State of Emergency Declaration Bring Cash to County

Governor Jan Brewer today signed a Declaration of Emergency in support of Coconino County response, recovery and mitigation efforts to protect property and infrastructure in the Schultz Flood area.   The declaration was signed in response to a heavy monsoon rainstorm that dropped more than 1 inch of rain within 15 minutes in the Timberline, Hutchison Acres and Wupatki Trails neighborhoods on September 13, 2011, causing significant street flooding and damage. Metropolitan Planning Org Conducting Trip Survey

Arizona’s Car Sales Second Strongest in U.S.

Phoenix is the second hottest U.S. Market for new car sales, following Atlanta, Georgia.  The information was released today by Edmunds.com,  the premier online resource for automotive information. An Edmunds.com analysis of automotive registration data reveals that new retail car registrations in the Atlanta metropolitan area were 24 percent higher in the first half of 2011, compared to the same period in 2010.
