Governor Petitioning U.S. Supreme Court on SB1070

Vigil Planned for AZ Rep. Gabrielle Giffords
A Vigil for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords will be held at 6:00 tonight at the State Capitol. A similar vigil, also at 6:00 p.m. is planned at Flagstaff City Hall. Giffords was shot this morning while meeting with constituents outside a Safeway in north Tucson. She survived today's surgery and is said to be in critical condition at University Medical Center. 13 people were wounded and five were killed after a gunman opened fire at the public gathering.
