Another Natural Market Coming to Flagstaff
Sunflower Farmers Market has announced it will open a new full-service grocery store in Flagstaff, Arizona, adjacent to Northern Arizona University, by the end of 2013. The market will join Bookmans, Michael’s, and Pier 1 Imports in the University Meadows Shopping Center located on Riordan Ranch Road. Since high school, Allison Wiltfong has known she wants to work in the hotel industry. Mountain Line Operator Wins Competition
Veteran Mountain Lift operator Bernice Tullie took home the top prize at the recent Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Rural and Tribal Transportation Roadeo. Fort Tuthill's Military Museum is open again for its eight season. A flag raising ceremony was held over the weekend with a display of weapons y C Company First Battalion 158th Infantry. Five finalists have been invited to in-person interviews for the job of Chief of the Flagstaff Police Department. The City of Flagstaff received 52 applications and conducted phone interviews with 15 candidates prior to selecting the six finalists, one who asked to be removed from consideration. Lawmakers Poised to Pass AZ Budget
The Arizona Legislature has approved a budget for the upcoming year which slightly boosts spending and replenishes the state's rainy day fund. There is nearly $90 million in new education spending for K-12. The $21 million for the university system includes $15 million for Northern Arizona University and ASU to bring per pupil funding to U of A levels.
