Grand Canyon Airport Offering 737 Service
The first full passenger flight aboard a Vision Airlines 737 touched down at the Grand Canyon National Park Airport last month, marking the official start of 737 airline service to the airport. Vision Airlines, which operates out of Las Vegas, is now offering 737 service to the airport on a daily basis. The Coconino County Board of Supervisors has been meeting with county departments and has a preliminary budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Due to the loss of a critical partner in producing the event, an increase in operating costs, and the elimination of state financed support for county racing in the State of Arizona and in Coconino County, the Coconino County Board of Supervisors met in special session on May 27, 2011, and voted to cancel the 2011 Horse Races.
